How to get to Hollinwood
Driving
Google Maps and Waze both can navigate to Hollinwood, Currently Apple Maps will
NOT route you the correct way.
DO NOT USE THE CAMPSITE POSTCODE FOR YOUR SAT-NAV
If you want to use a postcode, use M30 8JQ in your Sat-Nav (for Grange Rd, Winton) and then follow the directions below.
There is NO vehicular access to the site from Boothstown at all
(via Moss House Lane / Farm or Vicars Hall Lane / Keeper's Cottage or Boarding Kennels)
We ask that people car share as much as possible. Not only is it better for the environment, it's easier to access site with fewer cars.
-
Road access to the site is across Chat Moss. Once you have passed over the motorway follow the signs to 'Scout Camp'
-
There are 3 barriers, which depending on the time of day, may be locked. It is a condition of our lease that all gates and barriers are left as found.
-
We will provide the lock codes to the person who has made the booking. You should get the code from them.
-
DO NOT share these codes with anyone else
-
Campers and visitors must not visit the farm or ask the farm staff for the codes.
-
The road to the site beyond the farm is a gravel road for approx 1.5 miles and there are steep and soft verges; do not drive off the edge of the track - you will become grounded!
Walking
Local groups can walk into the site via the canal bridge at 'The Moorings' public house in Boothstown, M28 1YB. Entry is via a locked gate.
Note: the Moorings Pub now charges to use their carpark, and is monitored with ANPR cameras.
Pay-by-phone available - see signs on site. To park for 'free' in the carpark you need to register inside, (and use the pub).
£100 fines if not registered or paid.
Access to Hollinwood via this method needs to be pre-arranged with the team and can be confirmed during booking. The gate code will NOT be given out under any circumstances.
THERE IS NO VEHICLE ACCESS VIA THIS GATE. CAR PARKING IS VERY LIMITED
Click on the interactive map below for further info.
🐕 Sorry, but dogs are not permitted on the site beyond the carpark and must be kept on a lead. Dogs cannot be brought in 'The Moorings' entrance.
