Who We Are
...we exist to provide a safe, beautiful and fun location for young people to learn #skillsforlife
Hollinwood Scout Camp is a new campsite in the Greater Manchester West Scout county. We are situated in Salford, just south of Boothstown.
Despite being in Salford, once you're here you really feel like you're in the middle of the countryside.
Where we've come from
...there has been a Scout campsite in Salford for nearly 100 years.
Alder Forest in Winton was the first. This was replaced by the Alder Forest housing estate.
Middlewood (founded in 1947) came next and we were there until 2016. The Royal Horticultural Society took over the site and are due to open their 5th national garden there in May 2021.
Hollinwood was founded in 2017 and we now need to Build Hollinwood to realise its potential for future generations. We have a 60-year lease and 30 acres of woodland and meadow. Covid-19 has put us back a bit but we are now buildilng momentum and we need to raise A MILLION POUNDS to help us achieve our goal.
We want Scouting to continue in Salford for generations to come.
